WP No. 12480 of 2026 For Petitioner(s): Mr.U.Kathiravan For Respondent(s): Mr.C.Jayaprakash Govt.Advocate For R1 to R5 ND/w - R6 and R7 -Pvt ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the third respondent to cancel the patta issued in the name of Mr. Dakshinamoorthy for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ pet ition, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. According to the petitioner, the patta has been issued in the nam e of a dead person, as Mr. Dakshinamoorthy died as early as on 29.01.1996 itself. T he petitioner claims that he is in possession of the property for a numbe r of years and without any notice to him, patta was issued in the name of Mr. Dakshinamoorthy. The petitioner had given a representation on 30.09.2024 to the third respondent seeking for cancellation of patta standing in the name of Mr. Dakshinamoorthy. Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5.
