For Petitioner(s): Mr.K.T.S.Sivakumar S.Lakshmipathy S.Jayamaran For Respondent(s): Mr.S.Arumugan Government Advocate for R1 to R4 ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to t he 2 nd respondent to transfer the patta in the name of the petitioner for t he property more fully disclosed in the prayer to the writ petition based on t he petitioner’s representations dated 29.12.2021 and 13.03.2024mwithin a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2. According to the petitioner, she is the mother of the 3 rd respondent. She had earlier executed a Settlement deed in favour of the 3 rd respondent for the subject property. Subsequently, she cancelled the same. By virtue of the cancellation deed, the petitioner seeks for restoration of patta in her name. The petitioner had given representations on 20.12.2021 and 13.03.2024 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same have not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 11548 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 5 behalf of respondents 1 and 2. 4 No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner’s representations, as stated above, are directed to be disposed of by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the 3 rd respondent and all other necessary parties, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5. Since the Revenue Divisional Officer, Paramathi Vellore, Namakkal District, is the competent authority to adjudicate the petitioner’s representations, this Court by exercising its suo-motu powers, impleads the Revenue Divisional Officer, Paramathi Vellore, Namakkal District as the 4 th respondent in this writ petition. The Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment in the cause-title. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Gover nment Advocate, also undertakes to accepts notice on behalf of the newly i mpleaded 4th respondent. 6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the newly impleaded 4th respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner’s representations dated 29.12.2021 and 13.03.2024 seeking for transfer of patta for the subject property more fully disclosed in the prayer to the writ petition, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections of the 3 rd respondent and all other necessary parties, whom the 4 th respondent deems fit to enquire within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 8. This writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direct ions.
