For Petitioner(s): Mr.H.Tauffeqe Ahmed For Respondent(s): Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, Government Advocate https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 14066 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1 st respondent to initiate proceedings to assign Pattai land measuring 14 Ares Comprised in S.No. 306/ 2 of Erumaivetti Village, Cheyyar Taluk in exchange for the petitioner ’s patta land measuring 14 Ares comprised in S.No. 305/1A, 305/1B, 304/5, 304/4, 304/3,304/2, of Erumaivetti village, Cheyyar Taluk, Which is located adja cent to the Pattai land, based on the petitioner’s representation dated 14.07.2025 and subsequent reminder representation dated 18.02.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, for the effective usage of the lands morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition, the petitioner had submitted a representation on 14.07.2025, seeking for exchange of the lands as prayed for in this Writ Petition. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition. 3.Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.The petitioner also relies upon G.O.(Ms) No.201 dated 10.05.2022 issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department in respect of the https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 14066 of 2026 __________ Page3 of 4 petitioner’s representation. No prejudice would be caused to the res pondents if the representation of the petitioner as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law in the light of G.O. (Ms).No.201 dated 10.05.2022, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expre ssing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation. 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by direct ing the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representation dated 14.07.2025, seeking for exchange of the lands as prayed for in this Writ Petition, after giving due considera tion to G.O. (Ms).No.201 dated 10.05.2022, issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, as well as supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
