The Inspector of police Kondalampatti police station Santhaipet Kondalampatti Salem-636 010. ..Respondent(s) PRAYER – This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to survey the patta land of the petitioner in Thammanaikkanpatty village, Sale m with an extent of 1.31 acres (131 cents) of land bearing Survey Number: 60/4A w ith patta No.288 and 0.80 acres (80 cents) of land bearing Survey Number: 62/5A with patta No.319 fix the boundary stone and fence the patta land of the petitioner and directing the 5th and 6th respondent police to give adequa te police protection at the time of surveying and fencing the patta land within stipulated time as fixed by this court. Side) (For RR5 & 6) O R D E R This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to survey and demarcate the property, which according to the petitioner is owned by him, based on his online application, dated 11.12.2025, with the assistance of the 6th respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. __________ Page2 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 15552 of 2026 2. The petitioner had submitted an application through on-line on 11.12.2025 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same was not considered by the official respondents till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3. Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 5 and 6. 4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the respondents 3 and 4 are directed to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the pe titioner’s property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party whom they deem fit to put on notice, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:- (a) Before surveying the lands in question, the respondents 3 and 4 are directed to issue notice to the neighbouring land owners, and also to any other party, if they deem fit to put on notice. (b) After receiving objections if any and after considering the same, the respondents 3 and 4 shall conduct survey and __________ Page3 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 15552 of 2026 demarcate the boundaries of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (c) If the need arises for police assistance and on a request made by the respondents 3 and 4, the 6 th respondent shall render police assistance for the effective implementation of this order.
